Dr. Daftari is a primary physicist responsible for treatment planning, treatment delivery, safety and quality assurance and supervision of proton beam therapy of ocular tumors. He was instrumental in setting a program for proton beam therapy treatment of ocular melanoma.

Aaron Garcia MSc
Aaron Garcia graduated from University of La Verne, CA in 2003 with a Bachelors of Science in Physics, and a minor in Chemistry. He completed his Master in Medical Physics from Wright State University in 2005, and completed a residency in medical physics at the university of Toledo in 2007. Aaron is Board-Certified by the American Board of Radiology with a specialty in Therapeutic Medical Physics. Aaron clinical concentrations are in Head and Neck treatment planning, commissioning and quality assurance of linear accelerators, and is part of the Tomotherapy group. Aaron is the principle physicist for our Elekta Versa HD Linear accelerator. His research interests are in developing new treatment planning protocols, and applications of 4D cone beam CT.
Devan Krishnamurthy, PhD
Assistant Hospital Physicist
Devan Krishnamurthy graduated in 2007 with a PhD from Anna University, Chennai. He went to Washington University School of Medicine at Saint Louis as a fellow in 2008 and then came to UCSF till 2011 as postdoctoral research fellow. Since then he works in the department of radiation oncology as an assistant hospital physicist. Devan developed GUI’s for clinical medical physics applications. Other area of interest includes cross country travelling and playing squash.
